Hi, I’m Brice Owens. I’m the pastor at Restoration now—but that’s not where my story began.

When I was seven years old, three of my closest friends at church told me they couldn’t be my friends anymore because I was “unsaved.” I had no idea what that meant, so I went home and asked my mom. She didn’t quite know how to explain it either, so she pointed me to our pastor at the time, Mark Wash.

I still remember sitting in Pastor Mark’s office as he gently explained what salvation meant. He told me I was a sinner—I had broken God’s law—and that sin separated me from God. But he also told me the good news: that Jesus, the perfect Son of God, came to live a sinless life, died on the cross for me, and rose again three days later. He said I could choose to believe in Him, to ask Jesus to take my place and pay the debt I owed because of my sin.

So right there in his office, I prayed and asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior.

That was 32 years ago. And He’s still my Lord and Savior today.

Jesus has completely transformed my life. He’s made me new, and His Spirit continues to guide me every step of the way.
