Give to Our Ministry
Thank you for your generous support of Restoration; your giving makes a lasting impact on our mission and the lives we serve.
Tithes
Biblically, the term "tithe" refers to giving one-tenth (10%) of one's income or resources to God, often as a way to support the work of the church or ministry. The practice is rooted in the Old Testament, where the Israelites were commanded to give a tenth of their crops, livestock, or income as an offering to God.
Malachi 3:8-10 (KJV): "Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." - In this passage, God reprimands the Israelites for withholding their tithes and offerings, challenging them to bring the full tithe into the storehouse (the temple), and promising blessings in return for their faithfulness. It underscores the importance of honoring God with our resources and trusting Him to provide abundantly.
Offerings
Biblical offerings refer to voluntary gifts given to God, typically in the form of sacrifices or donations, beyond the required tithe. Offerings were an essential part of worship in the Old Testament, serving as expressions of gratitude, repentance, and devotion.
In the New Testament, while these specific offerings are no longer practiced due to the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ, believers are still encouraged to give offerings as a way to honor God, support the ministry, and help those in need. These offerings are often seen as expressions of love, obedience, and faithfulness to God’s work (2 Corinthians 9:7, Philippians 4:18).
How does Restoration use your tithes and offerings?
Restoration uses tithes and offerings to support its various ministries, operations, and Gospel efforts:
-
Support for Pastors and Staff: Tithes help provide salaries and benefits for the church's pastoral staff, administrative staff, and other ministry leaders. This ensures the church can maintain its leadership and ministry functions.
-
Building Maintenance: Funds are used to maintain or repair church buildings, including utilities, cleaning, renovations, and improvements to the church facilities where worship services and activities take place.
-
Worship and Ministry Programs: Tithes and offerings fund various church programs, such as children’s ministry, youth ministry, adult education, Bible studies, and other discipleship activities that help members grow in their faith.
-
Outreach and Evangelism: allocated funds to support local and global missions, outreach programs, and evangelistic efforts to share the gospel and assist those in need. This can include supporting missionaries, providing food, clothing, or shelter for the poor, and community service projects.
-
Charitable Giving: Tithes and offerings are used to support charitable efforts, such as assisting those in the congregation or community who are facing financial hardships, medical emergencies, or other difficulties.
-
Operational Expenses: This includes the costs of running day-to-day operations, such as office supplies, technology, church publications, and transportation for church events and services.
Ultimately, the goal of using tithes and offerings is to further the work of God’s kingdom through worship, ministry, and outreach, while supporting the church's ability to meet the spiritual and physical needs of its members and the Fayetteville community.
